Texas Hall on the campus of The University of Texas at Arlington is a 76,000 sq. ft. combination proscenium theater and special events center. Seating capacity for the building is 2,709 for stage productions and 3,309 for athletic events.
Texas Hall hosts an average of 200-300 events per year, including concerts, lectures, meetings, theatre, and dance. As an athletic facility, Texas Hall is the home of UT Arlington Mavericks men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, and Movin' Mavs wheelchair basketball team, and has been recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of college basketball's best places to view a game.
When construction of the University's new College Park Center is complete (December 2011), stage performances will continue in Texas Hall, but athletic events will move to the new venue.
