About

With more than one hundred public events covering every aspect of the arts each year, The Center for the Arts at Monmouth University brings artists together with the community in a way unlike no other destination on the New Jersey Shore. A place in which to experience the work of singers and sculptors, poets and painters, authors and actors, dancers and directors —all of it brought to you by the most acclaimed creators from around the world, and the next generation of passionate performers from right here in our community.
From iconic Wilson Hall to the brand new MAC at Monmouth arena; from our modern Pollak Theatre to our refurbished Lauren K. Woods performance space, our beautiful campus with its elegant grounds and historic buildings offers spacious galleries, state of the art screening facilities, lecture and concert halls, right here in our back yard.
Each new season at Monmouth boasts a full slate of concerts, dance recitals, stage productions, art exhibitions, film screenings and author readings, along with live broadcasts from New York’s Metropolitan Opera and the National Theatre of London. Our 2011-2012 schedule features a rich array of performances by nationally and internationally recognized artists in many disciplines including children’s musicals, family entertainment, concerts, dance recitals, cultural events, festivals, and special attractions. Monmouth University also produces professional theatre, features a visiting writers series, film festivals, continuous art exhibitions, student performances, and much, much more.

If you’re someone who looks to the arts as a shared experience — whether with your friends and neighbors, or with audiences on the other side of the planet — The Center for the Arts at Monmouth University offers a world of excitement, close to home, convenient and accessible to everyone.
