About

Although the New London Theatre is a modern building, there has
been a place of entertainment on the site since Elizabethan times. Nell Gwynne, mistress
of Charles II, was associated with the tavern here, which by the end of the 17th century
was called the Great Mogul. In the early 18th century it was a meeting place for Glee
Clubs and ‘sing-songs’ were held in the adjoining hall.
The
New London Theatre is a theatre located on the corners of Drury Lane and
Parker Street in the Covent Garden area of London.Since December 2005 the New
London Theatre has been owned 100% by the Really Useful Group Limited.
