The Algonquin Arts Theatre is a 540-seat, fully-equipped performing arts space. In addition, there is the dance studio that may be available as reception spaces and meeting rooms. Rental includes the theatre, basic lighting, professional Front of House management, basic curtains and soft goods, as well as technicians. Additional production personnel and equipment will be required at an additional charge depending on the technical requirements of your event.The Theatre is
available for rentals based on availability. Rental rates are based on technical
requirements and types of performances. Additional charges will be incurred for specific technical requirements, marquee listings, stagehands and other personnel, box office ticketing systems among other additional services.
The Algonquin Arts Theatre offers a unique environment for your special event. This historic theatre dates back to 1938 when it opened its doors as a movie theatre, with one of the most successful films of its day, "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farms," starring Shirley Temple. In 1991, the theatre was transformed into a multi-purpose cultural center – with a proscenium for theatrical productions, sprung stage for dance performances, orchestra pit, new image projection, lighting and sound systems.
