The Abbey Theatre is managed by the registered charity, Nuneaton Arts Council, and manned almost entirely by volunteers. It has a 250 seat tiered auditorium, with an additional seating area to accomodate
wheelchair users, and two rehearsal and meeting rooms. The entrance foyer has a licensed bar and coffee bar. The theatre acts as the host venue for amateur and professional events throughout the year including dance shows and festivals, stage plays, tribute bands, and pantomimes. It is also home for several amateur performance groups who regularly use the rehearsal rooms. The Abbey is open 11 months of the year, normally being closed throughout August in order to carry out maintenance and
upgrades to facilities.
