Named in 1964 for historian Alice Baldwin, the first dean of Duke‘s Woman‘s
College, Baldwin‘s domed roof provides the dominant architectural statement on East
Campus. The 900-seat auditorium is the site of musical performances ranging from jazz to
chamber music.
